Unfortunately I am both digital cameraless and easter eggless so I can't show you the finished product, but I think you'll get the idea....
The idea is to make a little cardboard rabbit cut-out holding an easter egg in his abnormally long arms.
I made this template a few years back to fit those hollow chocolate eggs that are about the size of normal chooks eggs, but you might want/need to alter it for your purposes. The graph paper is 1cm square, making Mr Bunny 7cm across at his widest point and slightly less than 11cm tall.

So:
1. Draw around the template, including the rectangular-ish bit in the middle. (This bit's going to be the abnormally long arms).
2. Cut around the outside of your bunny.
3. Cut along the long lines marked in red.
4. Fold along both the short yellow lines so that the 'arms' poke forward and the rest of the body curves back slightly (making a nice egg-sized space).
5. Give him a face and a little cotton ball tail and various other rabbitty features as you so desire.
6. Place the egg in Mr Bunny's arms so he stands up on his own.
7. Put them on peoples' desks at school/work as a little surprise! Or you could make a whole army of zombie bunnies to confuse your partner/sibling when they wake up, but you don't have to :)
.... The end!
