Mar. 21st, 2005 02:01 amHi!
I've finally stolen the digital camera to get some pictures of my craftiness.

My circle skirt! Elastic waistband, hemmed, 100% quilting cotton (we've got tonnes of the stuff). Made with dragonfly print material. Eeek, I really have to clean my mirror.

My first Jordy bag. Made out of old jeans and my dragonfly material. I hate the strap, I made it way too wide. It's all floppy because we had no interfacing and I sewed the lining in backwards, I can't read instructions properly XD. I cut out one of the dragonflies and sewed it to the front for decoration.

See, wrong side and the seams. I hit myself over the head because it was all wonky. Oooh, maybe I'll redo it this week.

My second Jordy bag. I'm *really* proud of this one. The outer fabric is heavy cotton/canvas and the lining is stretchy stripey cotton. I used interfacing on everything this time. The lining is on the right way and my seams are mostly all lined up. The bottom is almost five inches wide. I just need to find a button to use as a closure. Button shopping!

The lining.

The bag with all my stuff in it.

Crummy detail shot of the dragonfly I embroidered onto the strap. Going through four layers of interfaced heavy cotton/canvas is a bitch.
Next up: Bandana skirt, more bags, and a quilt.
Cheerio
