Alternative shoelaces.

I know there are some skater/punk ladies around, so I decided to post this.
In place of shoelaces on my flat tops I used safety pins.The very top one has to be taken
out when I put them on, but otherwise they all stay firmly in place. I wouldn't try jogging
in them, but these shoes weren't meant for that kind of wear and tear anyway.

And I once saw a nifty pair of sneaks that had longs laces (ribbons?) so you could lace them up your legs like ballet slippers. I was thinking of maybe trying that as well. Maybe buying a pair of sneaks and covering them in some pretty fabric to make them look more slipper-ish. Hmm...
