my
parents participate this progressive dinner every year, one of the snacks
they prepare and are now required to prepare are these wonton stars. they
are very simple and yum yum yum.
Won Ton Stars:
1lb sausage (jimmi dean)
1.5 cup sharp cheddar (shreaded)
1.5 cup monterey jack (shreaded)
1 package ranch salad dressing mix (prepare as dressing or substitue bottle of salad dressing)
2.25oz olives (chopped green)
1/2 cup chopped red pepper
1 package of won tons
vegetable oil (i think just to oil pan)
Preheat oven to 350F. Brown sausage and blot. Combine with cheese, dressing, olives, and pepper. Place won tons in muffin tin to form little star cups, bake for 5 minutes. Fill cups with mixture and bake another 5 minutes.
and another recipe i have on the same card that uses ranch dressing
Ranch Oyster Crackers:
1oz ranch dressing mix
1/2 teaspoon dill weed
3/4cup salad oil
5 cup oyster crackers
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
Preheat oven to 250F. Mix dry ingredients with oil and pour on crackers, stir. Bake crackers in cake pan for 15-20 min, stir halfway.
