Hello Ladies...and Gents,

This question doesn't really pertain too much to crafting...but you're all so good at answering questions that I thought I'd give it a shot:
I have a flat iron with ceramic plates that I use almost every day. The plates are starting to look sort of scary from the hair products that are getting burned on to it. I would really like to clean it, but I don't know what to use???

Any suggestions? My roommate said just to scrub it in soapy water, but it's an electronic device and that just doesn't seem like it would go over well with the wires and whatnot.
