holiday idea
Dec. 13th, 2002 10:02 ammy aunt received a homemade gift last year, and she asolutely loved it. in fact, she's making them this year.
you need:
1 glassjar/vase from the craft store
potpourri
string of xmas lights
meshy/lacy fabric
ribbon
decoration of your choice
fill the vase/jar with the potpourri and the lights, as if the lights are wrapped in and through the potpourri. the plug end of the lights needs to come out of the top with enough length that the jar can sit someplace and be plugged in. cover the top of the jar with the fabric, tying the ribbon around to secure. tie or glue bows, fake flowers, holly, whatever to the ribbon for beauty.
plug in.
the lights are beautiful in the potpourri and the slight heat emitted from the lights kicks the potpourri into gear, so your house smells lovely.
