EDITTED! I got a hold of some amigurumi patterns (japanese crocheted stuffed toys) and my friend Tek (who studies Japanese & lived in Japan for over a year) was able to do some translations of the amigurumi patterns for me. While we weren't able to decipher everything, I had a rough idea of what to do. I used regular 100% acrylic worsted weight yarn and a Size H crochet hook for this project, as well as poly-fil to stuff it. I don't know what the pattern calls for. I also had to modify the pattern a bit because I didn't understand the charts to make the glasses, and the scarf was too long for my taste (130 stitches!) so I shortened it to about 45 or so.
