a question, a show and some comedy
May. 4th, 2005 03:33 pmOk, my second post here I think? Something like that. Anyways, Firstly I found some awesome and cute fabric in my attic today, I dont know where it came from but the mother said it's not hers. So I've decided to make something from it. The problem is I'm not quite sure how I should go about it. I want to make a skirt but I think I need some suggestions as to what to make of it, patterns tutorials etc..
pile of fabric...I know it has some sort of special name, I just don't know it. Brownie points if you can tell me what it is :)

up to the light, for a better view

close up of the design

are some pictures of the fabric so you can see my what I'm talking about.
Here's something I made today, inspired by a post I saw here a day or two ago.
made of an old t-shirt which was retired and put up on my wall, but I decided to give it new life as a tote.
le bag

le bag encore

even more brownie points if you can tell me what it says
And finally
It was my dad's birthday and I decided to be the good daughter and make him a cake aaaand I kindof forgot to let the cake cool enough before taking it out of the pan...and then again before putting on the icing...hillarity ensued...etc etc...family will probably never let me forget this one.
