May. 11th, 2005 04:50 pmHello all! I just joined this community a few days back, and I am really enjoying reading all these posts and seeing the great stuff everyone comes up with. Pretty much every time I check in, I have to jot down ideas of things I want to try too. :) Anywho, I mostly make jewelry, but I also sew. I finally got the courage to sew something without a store bought pattern, so I thought I would share it.
It's sort of similar to the "Jordy" bag, but I cut it to be a little more triangular. I don't have the best spatial perception, so I ended up making the bottom a little too wide. I think it looks a little too square, but I think it has personality. :) The denim is from a pair of jeans that never had a chance of fitting (at least six inches too long!) and the lining is some leftovers from another project. And the little flower is an iron-on that I bought at Jo-Ann when they were going out of business. I got a whole stack of them for fifty cents each, not bad! Anywho, this was fun, but I think I can make it better shaped next time.
