marble question--but not magnets! :)

Hi ladies. A while back someone mentioned that they were making braclets out of the marbles. I went to the link that was posted and tried it out. Not much luck I afraid to report. Has anyone else tried it? What did you use to connect it all? I put bolo backs on them and then strung stretchy string (for jewlery) through, but I can seem to make them all come together right. Any ideas?
