Well, I'm home for a few weeks at my folks' house, so that means a lot of free time for crafty fun. So I thought I would share my continuing adventures with making my own patterns. Pictures ahead, lots of 'em!

My bag of many colors! I had lots of little pieces that were just taking up space. It's reversible too! I can't tell if it's tacky or cool, but I don't guess it matters. It holds a good bit of stuff, including drinks to be smuggled into movies!

My pride and joy, at least for today...I still have zero spatial perception...this bag was supposed to be waaaaay taller, but it somehow ended up being sort of stumpy. But other than that, it came out well. The picture doesn't do it justice, because the large pink stripe and the green lining both have a gorgeous silver sheen to them.

Yep, more leftovers...it's the sort-of-amazing Technicolor DreamBelt! In looking at it again, I don't so much like the white thread around the edge, but at the time, I didn't even think of using clear thread. Blast!

One more with scraps...I saw all the beautiful kanzashi-style flowers and I couldn't resist. (I used the great tutorial on Craftster!) This one is a little crooked. I'm still having a lot of trouble getting them even on the back - I ended up covering a little disc of cardboard with fabric and squishing the flower onto that, which seemed to help.

In any case, yay for using up fabric. :) I've been restraining myself from buying a bunch of new craft supplies until I manage to use up more of what I've got already!

And if I can, I would like to ask a question, though it might seem a little self-centered. I don't mean it to be if it is! I am looking to sell my jewelry online through a website. The website is linked from my LJ, though it's not actually ready for orders yet. I have been selling some already in person, so I know that stuff will sell okay. But I was wondering if you guys thought some of these purses and other little accessories would sell. I'd probably do more bags like the little sling one than the quilted, and I'm working on patterns and designs for some others. I think to charge fairly for my time and materials, they would probably need to be priced around 20 (the purses, that is!). It seems like a lot to me, but each one does take a few hours and a fair investment of materials. Anyway, thanks in advance for any input you have!
