Loverly babydoll dress
May. 19th, 2005 10:19 pmwoot! School is finally out, prom is over with, so now I can sew to my little heart's desire!!
Here is my first garment of the summer, a babydoll dress!! I was inspired by the fabric which just screamed to make something cute out of it.
Pearl straps, empire waist, hand boxpleated (ah), invisible zipper, hook & eye. I completely did this with the sewing machine. I was being a poop and didnt want to be unlazy and change the color thread on my serger. Thus, I took the longer way and just did it on my sewing machine.
I am so happy with it too!! It turned out exactly how I envisioned, and that never happens.
Wow, you can actually tell I have boobs, that never happens either.

Tell me what you all think!!
Then I made this up reallllly fast for my graduation party. I cut a pattern quickly using the pattern from my prom dress and came up with this!! The belt makes it lay just how I wanted, I wanted a grecian/egyptian look.

I like with the belt :) but there is a photo without it.
