May. 22nd, 2005 06:26 pmI just thrifted a really cool grey-khaki-ish jacket (made by Express) for $2 in really good condition. It looks nice as it is, but I'm thinking about distressing it with sandpaper or maybe a cheese grater.
The problem is that all of the posts about distressing have been for denim, and denim is usually made of mostly cotton fibers. But this jacket is 96% cotton and 4% Lycra, and I'm afraid that the Lycra may not work well for distressing. Will it ruin the jacket if I sand it down a little around the edges?
