Old age has it's down side. Trying to do fine details that I use to see easily is now a major chore. The links that follow show 4 things I worked on this weekend, the first two, a spirit doll face and a painted mini dream box, the last two are works in progress, a birdhouse and a star box:


this will go onto a cloth body that I am going to be hand painting plus beading a little. The doll will have a wire armature in it.

This is one of those palm sized $.99 boxes Michael's sells, I am still detailing the top and touching up the side paint, but you get the idea.

This one is going to my brother, hand painted in cobblestone, with pics of people and things important to him made into decals and applied as windows, or as items outside the birdhouse. It's gonna be a tad late for Giftmas.


I need advice on the Star box, I plan to surround the face with several rows of beads, but what else can I do to jazz it up a tad? Any good ideas ladies? I am thinking about adding some collage and thought provoking text to the collaged tissue paper, once I get it all covered.
