Swedish table
May. 29th, 2005 01:29 pmKieran bought me this table at a car boot sale for 10 euros, it was acually green when he bought it, the 'before' picture is actually after he had a good scrape and sand at it for me. It's a really lovely old country table, full of 'authentic' old woodworm holes and really timeworn, the corners are actually patched up with little blocks of wood.

After sanding, two coats of paint, a coat of antiquing glaze and a good wipe, three coats of varnish sanded between coats, and a little bit of Swedish 'kurbits' style decoration, a pretty table for my pretty guest room!

When Kieran moves into his new studio I will have lots of space in the garage to work on more furniture!
