This is not really a craft question but many of you have knowledge of yarn and might be able to help (and hopefully posting late at night I won't annoy too many people.) I have a sweater that is 70% acrylic and 30% nylon it is basically brand new, but acquired a horrible smell and needs to be washed. I do not want the sweater to lose its fantastic softness, is there any way to keep the wash from messing it up? Thank you!
