violin dress!
Jun. 10th, 2005 07:09 pmhere's a story:
a few months ago, i saw a gorgeous and wonderful dress in the window at nordstrom. it was black and sleeveless with orchestra instruments printed on it in dark yellow. they were big. there was a violin and a trumpet or possibly a coronet and probably other ones on the back. the violin was the main part that made gush--most of it was on the skirt with the neck going up one of the straps, asymmetrically.
i went inside and asked the lady in haute couture how much it was and she said something crazybrained like 1400 dollars! then i had to stand there while she blabbed about how the designer makes the fabric herself and there are only ten dresses like this and they don't have it in my size but they could have one sent over from new york and i was like, pfff.
so i bought this dress on sale at the GAP for $20 yesterday.

then i made my own free-acking violin dress.

i win, jerks!
