Adventures in paper bowl making PART 2
Jun. 10th, 2005 10:10 pmI tried making a paper bowl again tonight.
Well first of all, lew me just mention that I am the worst paper bowl maker ever. I was letting my paper simmer and somehow completely forgot about it. 45 minutes later: the smoke alarm goes off and I rush over to my pan that used to be full of water, oops:
After adding more water to that and removing it from the stove it was ok. There's burnt spots and it smells bad but really, it's ok.
This time I used a styrofoam bowl as a mold instead of a real bowl. That way once it was done I could just tear off the styrofoam bowl and not worry about the paper bowl sticking to it. It worked much better :)
