Jun. 16th, 2005 01:06 amHey fellow knitters. I have a question for the more experienced; for the ones who have knitted sweaters before. I am basically making up a pattern as I go along but it's going to be a 3/4th sleeved boatneck sweater when I'm done. Instead of invisible stitching at the seams, I'm going to do a sort of corset lacing with accented yarn. I've never done anything more complicated than armwarmers before and needed some help on the holes of the sweater. I'm knitting the right arm now, and I have no idea how to end it. Do I just end it as a tube or do I have to do a decreasing stitch? And if I ened to do a decreasing stitch, how do I go about doing it?
Also, do you kniw the front and back of the sweater seperately? I was planning on doing it on circular needles and just knitting a gigantic tube. Which would be easier?
there are photos of my progress under the cut. help!

if you have any really good and active knitting communities you could point me torwards, that'd be great too! happy crafting!
