Tried.....felting...wool...today
I made a bag
turned out fairly decent.

Had a scary moment.
I ran it through a few cycles of the washing machine, no spinning, and then I stuck it inthe dryer.
I wasn't happy with that, so I stuck it in for some more.

Then my brother calls and asked if I wanted to go to lunch.
I had just ate, so then he says something about seeing Mr. and Mrs. Smith. Lo and beholw I find out it is playing at 1:30.
My computer says 1:30
Luckily I live across the street fromt he theater. So I put on my flipflops and ran over there and got there just as the ast preview was ending. :)

Halfway through the movie I discover I had left the bag at home running in the dryer. I had these visions of it being about the size of my camera when I got home...HaHa

I think I lucked out...turned out pretty well. It is *almost* dry now. I have it laid out and hopefully it will be dry before work tomorrow. :)

I am so proud of myself.

It started out...roughly 12 inches by 12 inches
I haven't measured it yet, but it shrunk down...and the strap started out long enough where the bag rested at my hip, now it is the shoulder-armpit bag I wanted.

Here is the pre-felting pictures:

Not bad for a first time felter eh?
Used...Lionbrands Fishermans Wool..dyed with kool-aid. The bag is done in a J hook, hdc's....then stiched together.
The strap is 3 sc chains of then braided together...two of them.

It's not perfect....but I love it.
