Where's Waldo Crafts!
Jun. 16th, 2005 05:35 pmMore of My Craft/Sewing Creations!

Item Numba 1 :

Made out of Where's Waldo Bed Sheets.
This one is special to my heart because it has a faux
Peter Pan collar on it, and I <3 Peter Pan Collars.
I actually made it the right way also, and turned everything out so that there are
not frayed ends and it's very nice... doing patterns actually taught me what I needed
to know to make most of these items, ya for being self-taught!
Item Numba 2:

This one is made out of the same material. But I got myself into a situation, I thought
it would be soooo cool to make this have pinstripes on it by using my sewing machine to sew them all in there. DUMB me, because it took over 1 1/2 hours sewing each line on there, even w/ a sewing machine on the fastest speed...I was regretting it after the first 10 lines, but the result was beautiful. Oh, also I took this design from a previous drawing I did in High school, it did have a pocket in it but I didn't know how swell that would look so I omitted it this time.
Item Numba 3:

This Top was actually supposed to go a completely other way, but ended up like this. I had just the smallest scrap of this white orange polka dot fabric left over from a few years ago and I love it so I decided to use it on this top, this is definatly a summer/clubbin' top, I definatly can't wear it, it's for small busted girls only! I also love how it criss-crosses in the front like that..
Item Numba 4:

Another one of my items made out of FANTASTIC vintage bed sheets. This one is made off of a Pattern actually, an 80s early 90s waitress pattern. I thought it would go perfectly w/ this fabric and indeed it did, I picked up some heart buttons earlier this week and those are what you close yourself up into it with, they match perfectly! I love this dress also it's soo lightweight perfect for summer.
Item Numba 5:

This one I've been drooling over, I don't want to sell it but I need money, haha. But another item made from vintage BedSheets, [that must be my staple now:p] and out of an authentic 70s Pattern. At first I was ehh about the pattern but it turned out soo great. It's really versatile also I tried it w/ the belt and tights and it's very fun. It zips in the back and has two pockets in the front..
Item Numba 6:

I actually made this last week, but it didn't sell :( But it's a clutch/purse/pencil case/make-up holder. Either way it's way cute [on purpose] made out of a vintage space pillow fabric. I adorned it w/ too much cuteness and it velcro shuts!
