craftgrrl | Polymer Clay leftovers?

Hey,
Ive just recently (read: yesterday) started out with polymer clay..

Ive made a necklace for my mom with various beads and a pendant and im currently making a butterfly with beads hang in front of your window decoration thing.
(sorry, no pictures, i only have a crappy webcam x.x and then pics are so blurry usually you "kind of get the idea" but not really.. xD)

Ive made both using my own skinner blends (i have no pasta machine xD so it takes a while to make one.. )

but! what do i do with the leftovers? I usually dont use all of the cane, and then im left with a little stomp of the end of the cane, or the front part where you can see that the clay is rolled up. I really really cant figure out what to do with them, i mean, i could just throw them in the oven, but then what? o__0

I dont want to throw them away either..
