I have been making a whole lot of crap since summer began. I started crocheting when I was 10 and I've done it on and off since. Since I saw all the neat new yarns, I've picked it up again and made some cool gifts and stuff, but I've also got a lot of yarn just sitting around being pretty and waiting for me to use it up. :X

Sorry the pictures aren't the best quality!

So, for my soulmate/best friend, I just finished a red glittery scarf (although the glittery bit won't show up on camera, sadly!):

I used this pattern and a yarn called Patons Brilliance in the dark and bright reds. I can't decide if I should fringe it or leave it plain, and my friend does not care either way. I'd fringe it in the brighter red if I did it at all.

I made these bags for friends, from this pattern. The black-and-white one was my first attempt from back in October and the red-and-black is my second, which I just finished last week.

Then I started to make myself the same bag in a vivid purple, but changed my mind after I put it on my head and realized what a great hat it would make. So with a little Fun Fur, a little Microspun and a little patience, I turned up the brim and crocheted it to the body and made an awesome little fluffy bowler hat!

It only looks a LITTLE like a birds' nest, really...

And this cute little purse was made for another friend - I just made up a pattern as I went along.

I just cast on with lime green Fun Fur to try to make myself a scarf, but the only other project I've ever successfully knitted was my rainbow Incredible scarf (I love Lion Brand yarns), which came out pretty nice.

And I made a little pin using one of Lion Brand's flower patterns, but can't recall which:

Finally, we have Fun Fur flip flops, using this pattern!

Wow, sorry, that was really long. I want to make some more free-form patternless projects, and I've sort of started what may be the back of a tunic, but I'll have to play around a lot as I've only ever made one sweater before. Can you tell I'm kind of lazy? I love small projects.
