Jun. 22nd, 2005 05:56 pmAhhh! Long time no post. I've been a busy little lady for the last two
weeks. As always, I'm loving seeing everyone's great stuff on here.
It's bad in a way...I keep wanting to run to the craft stores and buy
stuff to try new things. My mantra for this month has been - sell
crafts first, THEN you can try new things. :)
Anyhoo, our cable and internet was knocked out yet again, this time for
nearly a week. I tell you this only to explain the copious amounts of
stuff I made. My roommate and I tore through FOUR seasons of Oz, my new
favorite show. I'm seriously trying to figure out how to incorporate my
unhealthy love of this show into my crafting.
But I digress. Thanks for checking the stuff out! :) I only put one of
each new thing here, so if you'd like to see the rest, please check out
my personal LJ! (Not a selling journal, just mah verrah own.)

I made a pattern for a purse-sized messenger bag, then a mini-messenger
bag. I made them with the squared corners, rather than a gusset, so
they look a little bit funny. I'm still working up the courage to try a
gusset though.

(Mini-messenger)

Purse-sized Messenger

(This is my first attempt at the pattern. It's all well and good except
the HUGE gap between the strap and the flap. I just thought it was good
for laughs. :)

Whee, wristlets! The wristlet is my new favorite thing.

Super-wristlet in action.

A big bag.

A smaller version, almost the same pattern though.

Wheeee! I had to have a cow bag. I really goofed it up though. The bag
itself is actually pretty nice. But I made the stupid straps so short
that I couldn't actually tie them in a knot, so I ended up stitching
them to each other. It looks sort of weird, but oh well.

The miniskirt bag! It was actually just going to be a little pleated
handbag, but my roommate looked over my shoulder and asked me if it was
supposed to be a really small miniskirt. So I stitched the straps down
to make little belt-loops and ran a ribbon through them. I think it
looks sweet. I'm not too keen on the big bow, so I may end up sewing
the ribbon to make a solid loop next time. But I am really proud of how
this turned out. It's super roomy on the inside.
Anyway, thanks for checking this out! And if anyone has ideas or
projects on how you went crafty with your fandom, I'd love to hear!
