Small evening bag
Jun. 24th, 2005 05:04 pmI had an old top with material on it that i really loved.
As it had become too small for me i decided to make it into a bag.
It's only small, it's about 12cm wide and 14cm long, just big enough for a purse, phone and lip-loss.
The material was really hard to work with and sags quite a lot, i think i'd used interfacing in the future to give it a little more shape.

more pictures and details are behind the cut.
The material i used was an embroidered ethinic type silk which has a two tones look to it, then the main part is a yellow man made fabric with pink netting over the top.

I left the back plain.

I lined the whole bag with a red silk/polyester mix.

Over all, i feel i rushed the bag a little and it wasn't as finished as it could have been, however i'm so in love with the fabric i just know i'll use it.
Let me know what you think.
