Aaah! I was on a craft hiatus while I read Harry Potter...good stuff, but not my favorite. But this is not the time nor the place. :) I do however come bearing many different crafts! Look below the cut for some neat things - magnets for my roomie, a "rockin" belt, new bags, and some pretty flowers.

I've been making some simpler, but roomier bags lately. This is one of them! It's pretty much just a big square bag ('bout 11"), sewn across the corners to give it a teensy bit of width.

My current pride. I *love* belts. And I like shiny objects. And I'm a musician, but unfortunately my instrument of choice has no cool accessories like pearly picks. (I play the trombone.) Anywho, this is a full length belt. I tried taking pictures with it on, but no luck. Anyway, it's verrah shiny in person, and I think it's fairly cool. I like it with the non-writing side out...it kind of looks like dragon scales or something. I've been collecting pop tabs like mad so I can make a belt from those.

The bottom right bunch are actually about three times the size of the others; it's not just a big picture. :) These are for my roommate, who is unfortunately leaving me this year. She's moving off to California to go to grad school in chemistry. (Because she is the awesome.) So she will be getting a new apartment of course. We've lived together for three years, and I've corrupted her into a Square-Enix whore like me. :) So there are pictures from Final Fantasy games, her new favorite Xenosaga, and Kingdom Hearts. There's also some Buffy ones, because we heart the Buffy. (The bottom right one is a special tribute for her...we always talk about how we really wish that Faith and Buffy would make out just once.) I'm planning on making her a special set of magnetic poetry as well with some of our favorite, though decidedly inappropriate, phrases.

And some flowers! I found these neat button cover kits where you can make your own fabric buttons. Super cheap and they look great with the fabric flowers I think. I still don't know how you're supposed to do the bottoms of them, so I've been cutting out little circles of green foam or leaf shapes and just hot-gluing them.

So anywho, thanks as always for looking! :)
