I deconstructed an old army jacket I "borrowed" from my dad. It looks really cool, I think, and it fits. YAY!

Here's two before pictures. Well, sort of before. I had already taken the pockets and the collar off when I took the first picture.

I'm very pleased with it. It took longer than I thought it would because the fabric kept fraying. It probably wouldn't have done that but I was only doing 2-thread serging for a flat seam. Next time I deconstruct a jacket, I will either not do 2-thread or I will stay stitch all the pieces first. I ended up top-stitching all the seams afterward anyway. I think I might put another little plaid heart on the back because it seems like it needs something. I was going to do corset lacing on the back, but I had to take more fabric out of the sides, which left me no leeway for it. The seams on the back aren't actually crooked. I just didn't have it seated on PJ(my mannequin). Well, that's it. Thanks for looking!
