So I have to re-paint these buttons...
Dec. 21st, 2002 01:17 amMy friend (whose dad is a priest) got me a *cassock* for Christmas, because she knows I like really bizarre clothes. If you don't know what a cassock looks like, check here (ignore the semi stunted-looking goth guy who's modeling it). Anyway, on mine, the buttons are black but the paint is chipping and coming off and you can see the metal underneath. What would be the best way to re-paint the buttons?
I would assume I could paint the buttons with some sort of primer and then just paint over with black acrylic paint, but I would guess that using that method wouldn't make the buttons very durable and I'd probably have to scrape off all the black paint that's still on there before painting over the metal, which I'd like to avoid if possible.
this looks promising, but I've never tried it and don't know how well it would actually work.
