Sculpey and Altoid Tins?

I checked the Memories on the Altoid Tins and could not find an answer to my question so... sorry if I just missed it (I suffer from Dorkius Maximus syndrome). I'm getting ready to make some pocket shrines for some friends and instead of doing it my usual way, I was thinking of covering the tins in sculpey and putting them in the oven to harden. As anyone done this before? And if so...how does it affect the metal tin? I don't want to warp it or end up wasting materials experimenting but if I have to, so be it.
