Damn you Urban Outfitters! I saw these shoes in their fall catalog (of course they are men's shoes) and fell in love.
I don't really wear red on a daily basis, and I have this weird quirk where my outfit has to look coordinated with my shoes. So, with that in mind, using these $60 Ben Sherman shoes as inspiration, I painted these $20 stretch canvas slip-ons...
I have to say, first off, that I saw some other people paint really great looking shoes on craftster.org and that gave me the confidence to do it myself... and I think they turned out pretty darn good for my first attempt. I used black and white screen-printing ink and just painted it on with a small angled brush.
