Aug. 7th, 2005 01:29 pmMany pairs of earrings behind the cut! Careful, image heavy! I apologize for the TERRIBLE picture quality. My digital camera screen cracked and now I can't see how the pics have turned out until I download to my computer. . .boo. . .
My new love is funky earrings made out of buttons. I'm finding that there are no end of effects that I can achieve with buttons. . .And buttons in any sense are adorable! All of these earrings were designed and made by me. The findings are mostly nickel-plated since I don't have very sensitive ears and haven't invested in a big batch of silver-plated findings. Thanks so much for looking! I'm so grateful for any feedback, I don't know if these appeal to the general masses as much as they do to me. . .:)

1.Sterling silver earring hook. Red sead beads have been glued to the button holes. . .The earrings look like chilis, I've been told. . .
2.
Button with a paper flower glued to it. . .Soooo cute. Sterling silver earring hook.
3.
I feel that the color combination adds a little bit of dressiness to this design. . .They could possibly be worn to a formal type event, I think. . .
4.
Pretty blues and clears. . .I love these. . .Sterling silver earring hooks. . .
5.
Cute funkly dangles. . .
6.
Group shot of the studs that I've done so far. The buttons are mounted on the studs and then the holes filled with sead beads and sealed over with mod podge. . .The colors are a little wonky in the pic. . .colors clockwise from top left are: turqoise, brown, orange, gold, pink and red. . .
