Screenprinting is fun!
Aug. 9th, 2005 01:47 pmI am not a girl, and I am not particularly crafty, but I always have my hands dirty with some DIY thing so I felt like sharing... so deal.
My girlfriend is quite obsessed with her last name, Dove, so I was inspired to suprise her with a screenprinted shirt for our trip to Toronto for the Warped Tour.
I did everything from the design in Photoshop right down to inking the shirt. The Speedball screenprinting kit is easy once you get the hang of it. The hardest part was finding the color ink I wanted.

I've gone through this process quite a bit before to make shirts and patches for my band. The photo emulsion method is somewhat intimidating the first couple times, but it suprisingly precise and accurate.
If you've got any questions or want a tutorial, let me know.
