Handheld Sewing Machine?

craftgrrlHas anyone seen those informercials for those little handheld sewing machines they'ew selling for like $19.95 through infomercials and Wal-mart, etc?
I'm pretty bad at sewing, don't have a regular machine and am very tempted to get this to make all the little project ideas that are in my head.
Has anyone ever used one? Are they a complete ripoff?
