Going to Rennaissance Faaaaaaire :)
Aug. 13th, 2005 04:30 pmI made this yesterday, took about 8 or so hours total. ((Ew. Pardon my face in this picture)):

Flat lace trim for the neckline, and red bias tape for the elastic casing. ((I meant to buy white, but the red turned out being the CUTEST mistake I have ever made in my life))

Same detail on sleeves as on the neckline

Fabric detail

Finished all the raw edges on the bodice with double fold bias tape. I like the look of it.

Laces/boning/grommets

Three skirts total: plain white cotton skirt, lace skirt, and the dark red overskirt.
I'm proud of this. This is the best thing I have ever sewn in my life, honestly. The craftsmanship and quality is better than any I've ever done, the fabrics aren't chinsy and cheap so it looks a lot richer, the colors go together really well, and I finished it all in one day. I am soooo proud of myself. :)
Comments? Please?
