Aug. 16th, 2005 01:48 pmHey everyone,
I'm working with velvet-y material, and it's slightly stretchy. I'm making it into a skirt, with a wide waist band (like this only the skirt would be longer)...As it's stretchy, is a zipper or buttons really such a good idea? Should I instead put in an elastic band on the waist, or would that be silly because the velvet is already stretchy, so it wouldn't do anything to help hold it up?
I would just make it snug to my waist and hope it holds itself up, but I really hate when stuff doesn't stay up...would that be the best option, though? Do you think it would stay up?
Err, as you can tell, I'm really lost, so I'd LOVE it if you could help me out...if anything was unclear, just ask! I could really use your help!
Thanks!
Elyse
