Dear crafty crafters,
My name is Cassie, & this is my first time...I've been a member here for a few days and haven't had the nerve to post any pictures yet. You're all very multi-talented.
I don't have any clothing that was manipulated in anyway, or even any fabulous jewelry that I made. I do, although have a flower vase made from flowers, scrapbooking pages, and a hand made postcard... With a bit of a pun.
Handmade postcard for postcardx.net

The lyrics on the front of the postcard are:
"You were scared, you were lonely, but you must’ve been aware; life is a series of calluses, this is just another layer. So, build’em up, tough it out, yeah, that’s your skin – don’t let anyone under there." The good life- Inmates
The girl I made it for has low self esteem, so on the back I wrote "Low self esteem is like driving through life with your hand-break on". Then, on each finger I wrote the name of an inspirational song and the band who sang it.
This is a vase I made for the New Hampshire Allstate Art Festival. Teachers nominate qualifying students, which fill out paperwork, and inturn get an interview. This was my interview piece (Which thanks to this piece, caused me to be one of the 60 people in the state to win).

Front

Back
The front and back are covered with long cinnamon sticks, and the other two sides are covered in dried leopard rose heads. Then, tied with rafia.
I made the card for a girl with low self esteem. On the back I have the quote "Low self esteem is like driving through life with your hand-break on". And on each finger I wrote an inspirational song that I liked when I was her age.
These are all pages out of my scrapbook.
