What to do with foam?

Hiii!
I posted here about a month ago asking what to do with a large amount of foam I'd been given. It's the thin coloured foam, not proper foam. Someone said to make purses?
I just attempted to make one but i failed badly.
How would i join the foam together and what would i use to close the purse?

Is it possible?
