So all the staff in my unit at camp were given pieces of wood to paint/decorate however they wanted, and today they were put up in out rec hall.
This was my piece of wood:

After drawing the first letter in my name, I realized that it would look pretty ugly if I drew it myself. Soooo, here's what I did:
Step one: I printed out my name in a font that I liked. Aliza is font size 170, and Dason is font size 150. The font is from dafont.com.

(Notice all the eraser thingies from me erasing my ugly drawing!)
Step two: I held the printed paper up to the window and traced the letters onto the back with a pencil:

Step three: I went over the outlines with pencil again - the thicker the lines are, the better it will work.
(No picture because it looks the same)
Step four: I taped the paper onto the wook, printed side up.

Step five: I scribbed heavily over the printed letters on the paper. Make sure that you scribble over it a LOT.

It will look like this after you lift the paper off.
Step six: After you have the pencil lines, you can just paint it.

And that's all!

I really like it, and it looks a lot better in person!
On the weekend, I made a pair of earrings and a necklace and earrings set.

Glass, Swarovski crystals, and sterling silver earring hooks.

I LOVE THESE BEADS!!!! Glass, Swarovski crystals, and sterling silver chain & earring hooks.
My best friend made me such a beautiful scrapbook-page-looking framed picture for my 18th birthday yesterday, and I have to take a picture of it and post it because it's amazing. So that'll be in a seperate post later.
Comments appreciated! And if anyone tries out the method I used to make my wooden thing, let me know how it works out!
