[identity profile] dona--quixote.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] craftgrrl
i am in the process of refinishing a nifty 1940s/1950s bureau, which has been repainted a couple times. however i CAN'T STAND that it seems like all the paint strippers are so toxic. so, i have two questions:

1. is there a way (besides sanding ~ i don't have the equipment) to strip paint off of wood that is more eco-friendly?
2. does anyone know of any good biodegradable/all natural/less harmful paint for wood?

i'm a bit nerdy when it comes to the environment, i just hate hurting it!!
