My Radiohead bird.
Aug. 25th, 2005 05:16 pmI had a job during this summer. We sold random beach-themed things, like wooden birds. One day, somebody dropped this bird and he was put in storage. Then I found him and decided to paint him.
This took me about four days to paint. I decided to try something.. Radiohead-themed, since I'm a huge Radiohead fan.
I thought that I could turn the famous "Reconstructed Burger" into a bird, but that failed.. miserably.
So I decided to do something a little more difficult.. I chose the Hail To The Thief sleeve artwork. It was fun and all until I got to the end of the page.. and I couldn't do the next page, because it just sucked for a bird.. so I had to do the one after that. =/
He has a design from the second page I started painted on the base/stand.
Anyways, here's Colin. I named him after Radiohead Colin, obviously. ♥

My favorite side of him..

The other side.
He sits proudly next to my TV now. ♥
It's just a bird with a missing beak that I got for free and some paint, really. And Stanley Donwood's work.. *credits the great man* It didn't take so much talent as patience, though.
