I have this hatelove thing going for felted items. I hate them so much they almost seem cool.(felted at knitty, honore knits &knitwitts )therefor I had to make my own felted bag. it's the perfect thing for a punk to do; knit and do exactly what you shouldn't do with this knitted item in wool; in the washer! high temperature! tumble dry!

the result wasn't that impressing though...but still interesting enough for me to make another one right away. some details didn't turn out as expected with this one but those will be things I have learned to not do with nr 2.
however, I am still surprised that most felted bags don't seem to have lost their "shape" as mine did.
I knitted mine in 2 parts without a pattern, using needles nr 12 and a rather bulky wool called Eskimo. all details were sewn on with that very yarn.
put it on the washer on a regular 40degrees celcius program but it didn't reallt felt, so I did it once again but with a 60 degrees celcius program. a quick tumble dry and then it was done.
it's very thick , the lining the thickness of a thumb, and it shrunk about 50% while I was just expecting it to shrink 25%.
