knitting update
Aug. 31st, 2005 11:06 pmSo a small update on the knitting project inspired by the Windy City scarf a few days ago.
I bought Stitch and Bitch tonight at the local B&N, and then I went to Michael's and bought size ten needles and some red thread. I intend (once I finally get it down, to make the "Ribbed For Her Pleasure" scarf in red for my friend Jeff. It took me five minutes to figure out a slip knot.
The next hour and a half I tried figuring out how to cast on.
I knew it was something simple. Something that I couldn't see in the diagrams or figure out. So I went to www.knithelp.com thanks to
eleven59 and watched the video for it.
And I got it!!!!!!
I'm so proud right now. I know it's just the start, and I have a ton more to learn and do, but I am so freaking proud of this row of stitches I could burst. I promise I won't post step by step.
