Somehow I only ever manage to take photos that don't really show the item, and then when I crop them they all end up wildly different sizes. So spot the non-graphic designer, & I'm sorry my photos look like crap!
But yes, as the title says, I have a bag, a pretty top, and a pair of reconned shoes for you.
This is a bag I made out of an old pair of wool trousers (the grey) that were way, way too itchy to ever be worn. It's interfaced so it might actually last, which is a first for me. I took some pictures of it flat but then deleted them because I'm a moron, so I've only got ones of it all misshapen. It's a pretty shape really, you can see on the left in the first picture the kind of outline it has. Not just a rectangle! And there's little buttons on it because I need to use up buttons.

In this next photo you can see all the junk you'd get if you stole my bag. And the snaps I had such hammerfun putting in that I left a big hole in my floor.

Next is a top I made from this fabric that's totally transparent and fray-obsessed. Are the little pleats called pin tucks? I've been my only sewing teacher so I don't know the names for these things, but I just sewed them all down the front to make it pretty and also to make it fit. Argh I'm embarrassed to post this photo! But I swear, it's better than the 1000 other ones my camera timer took, plus my cat came over, so it gets a point.

And here I had a pair of pretty red ballet shoes that I wore to absolute death, due to my having man-sized feet and thereby no other women's shoes. You can't really see in the picture but the fronts of them were totally torn and scuffed, and they had a spectacular amount of London dirt on them, despite being washed several times. So I decided to cover them.

I drafted a pattern from the shoe (centre), cut it out of grey velvet, and just glued it onto the shoe with copydex, which stinks like rotting fish.
Then i added lace at the back to cover that ugly seam (not shown), and little bows and buttons to the front. Yep, still working on buttoning my whole life.

I'm sorry for babbling all through this entry! Haha, I'm nervous in communities.
