Here's some things I made, yay:

This is a folder made out of a record sleeve, which I just love doing and have done for the past three years running. :O For this one I made use of the record itself, since I already have too many record bowls and it was scratched anyway. Scored the thing down the middle and put one half on each side, then made pockets with a polka dotted paper from the scrapbooking store. Total cost: somewhere around $3 (I forget what I paid for the record, but it wasn't much).

This is a notebook that I covered in tea-related "stuff" and then covered in packing tape (oh yes, I am so ghetto). I don't even remember what all is on here but I know I had some tea-stained pages (photocopies, actually, because I didn't want to ruin my book) from a book about tea, a teapot and teacup cut out of origami paper, one side of a box of tea, that sort of thing. On the inside there's a pocket and it's holding more tea-stained pages 'cause I didn't know what to do with them, and the labels from two bottles of Honest Tea, which is the best drink in the UNIVERSE. Total cost: Whatever the notebook cost. Everything else I already had on hand because I am a packrat!

HELLO BAD HAIR DAY. :) Also, I don't know why I decided to stand in my bathroom while taking this. I suppose it was the only place I thought the light was working.
I do a lot of shirt "reconstructions" (really just taking them in and usually making them into tank tops, usually) but this one is "special" because I stuck the sleeves back on afterwards. I've never done cap sleeves before and they came out really well, so I'm proud as heck. :D

I ordered a red sundress on Ebay, and when it came it turned out that it was more like a muumuu than a dress. (I think the seller didn't take a very accurate picture of the thing, but what can you do, right?) I decided to kind of salvage it by making it slightly more dress-like. This picture is really terrible, and it shows you an idea of the mess in my room (I've cleaned it since this photo was taken, honest), but at least you can see that it looks vaguely like a dress. Also, I added lace to the bottom (which you can't really see, arg) which makes all things infinitely better. Also, ignore my socks. :D
That's all, hope you guys enjoyed looking :)
Oh, and before I forget, I have a burning question for you all! Every time I try to crochet anything, it turns out all...TWISTY. I'm chaining one at the end of each row, that's right, right? I think it's a tension issue but I have no idea how to fix it. (I'm more of a knitter than a crocheter..) Any advice?
