Win Win Situation
Sep. 11th, 2005 01:15 amLast week, I worked on the stained glass design for the bathroom window. The windows are standard double-hung and this design will go into both panes. I used to do my templates by hand and now MUCH prefer doing them digitally to get everything perfectly proportioned. I printed out the template in parts, taped them together, mounted them to the plexiglass, and have begun doing the leading work. I had to order some leading circles online directly from Plaid. They don't seem to carry those at the craft stores anymore which puts a serious crunch on my design technique. I like to use the circles to buttress my tight corners and fill them in with a contrasting color. In the design here, all the large black dots will be circles filled with something fun, maybe purple.
The bathroom is YEARS away from being on my redecorating list. However, now that the new window is in, I want to get the envisioned stained glass piece in place so that I can like, take a shower without the paparazzi ogling my naked butt. As some of you may recall, I hope to do my bathroom in a Krishna theme. Kinda a cross between a Hindu temple and a dentist's office with nice clean stainless steal fixtures.
