Oh, how I have failed. My mother, being the nice lady she is, bought me a nice little "I Taught Myself Knitting" kit... thing the other day. And since I'm a leftie, we were thrilled that it's got a leftie section in it. So I took the kit out tonight all excited about learning how to knit, but... I can't get past the first page. The illustrations make NO sense and the descriptions make even less sense than that. They don't even tell you what to do, really! It's just sort of, "Here, look, this is a highly detailed and complicated description of what's in this picture, blah blah blaaaaaah." And I studied the pictures carefully and the perspective's all wrong! And there's bits of yarn going in one direction around the needle, but then it doesn't show up on the other side! It just stops! It's like the X-Files, I swear. I'm so lost.

I'm a visual/hands-on learner, but this is just ridiculous. It's hopeless.

Help? Other resources? For morons?
