craftgrrlI'm trying to sew a halloween costume for my daughter. I bought a sewing machine over two years ago--and gave up on trying to sew.. for the exact same reason I'm having an issue now. I can NOT understand the patterns. This time, I even bought "Sewing for Dummies"... but they leave too many things unexplained.
Mainly, I have no idea what these little triangles on the pattern mean--do I cut the notch into the fabric where they are? or maybe 'out' into the fabric? What's the reason for these little notches' existance?
HELP!Additionally.. there's kind a large piece of pattern paper (what do we call this, anyway?) that had a dotted line going down the center of it. Should I know what this lines indicates?
