craftgrrl | project ideas -white vinyl?

ok so i was given a rather large roll of white vinyl. its the kind that is usually used ot make outside signs you see everywhere with gromments put in and tied up with rope. to give you an idea of the texture/thickness. its about a 3foot wide roll and has alot on it.. was free so i couldnt pass it up, but now my only problem is what to make out of it? other then making a table cloth, to craft proof our wooden table im really at a blank.

i was wondering if anybody knows if i paint a peice of it with acrilyic paint if it would even stay on it or would i need a specil type of paint/dye or what not todo somthing like that?

im sure i will come up with some ideas eventully but would love to hear others' thoughts.
