Two Questions

Craft question for you crafty gents and gals!

Question 1: I need to make something for my hubby. Our 2 year wedding anniversary is on Halloween and we really don't have extra cash. We will probably make dinner at home and spend the evening on our front porch giving out candy and hanging out.
But...I want to make him something.
But what is the question! What do you make a guy? I was thinking a journal but he doesn't typically write that much anymore. Then maybe a picture frame, but I am the picture junkie. I just can't come up with anything!!!

Question 2: Hand made bags:
I am playing around with the idea of adding some beadwork to my bags. But I truly don't know where to start! Can any of you recommend some tutorials, websites or give me some helpful pointers?
