Well...I have FINALLY caught onto the felt flower trend and have been making brooches like they're going outta style.

They aren't going out of style...are they? GOD I hope not...These are going to be Christmas presents for the majority of my female friends.

My three babies...the purple one was the first one, then the brown one then the green one.

A close-up of my second attempt. The black petals are hand beaded with black jet beads. I'm wearing this one today at work!


Here's my latest brooch. I am SO proud of it. I went to JoAnn's and bought some buttons and used some jewels I had stashed away for the petals. I looooove this one.


I also finished a shelf I had been painting. My bathroom's theme is purple...and I needed something above the towel rack to sorta JAZZ things up...So I found a plain unpainted shelf at Joann's on sale for $7 or something. I grabbed it and went to work. I'm SO happy with the results.




Sorry for the blur...but here's the shelf hung-up and with stuff on it.


Close-up of the swirl pattern used. The colors are lilac, dark purple,  magenta and silver. The entire shelf has the design. I used dark purple for the edging.
